Comp (0-9.99 seconds) - The Koffel's Place Comp cash awards program returns to Summit Motorsports Park for the 2008 racing season with a total of $2000.00 in total payouts for Comp. Extreme 16 (8 fastest door cars vs. 8 fastest open-body cars) - This is a new class for 2008, and is sponsored by R&R Auto Body. The class has no rules and is heads-up format. The class will be run in conjunction with the Night Under Fire. Total payout for the class will be $3500.00. The winner will recieve a $1500.00 check with reducing amounts paid down to 1/8 final.
Door Wars (1/8th mile heads-up racing) - Rossler Transmissions and DeCerbo Construction teamed up to provide a very substantial prize package for the Door Wars series. The winner of each race is given a $1500.00 check with reducing amounts paid down to quarter-finalists. Holbrook Tool and Molding will also provide $250.00 checks for both low qualifier and top speed of each event in the series. Outlaw Street (1-8 place=Gold/9-16 place=Silver) - The series run in conjuction with Door Wars is sponsored by Last Second Race Cars. Gold winners recieve a $1000.00 check, with reducing amounts down to 1/4 final. Silver winners recieve a check for $250.00 with reducing amounts down to 1/4 final.
Sport Compact (Hot Norwalk Nights series) - The
Wednesday night awards program from Design Engineering Inc. (DEi) will return for 2008. Class champion for Sport Compact will recieve a check for $750.00 and a cusom cut leather jacket. Reducing amounts will awarded down to 1/4 final. www.designengineering.com
Junior Dragster (Advanced-Intermediate-Novice) - Bear Motorsports/Halfscale Dragster sponsors all three divisions of the Jr. Dragster Program which is run on select points meet weekends. Overall champions for each class will recieve a $1000.00 bond, with reducing amounts down to fifth place.
