High School Nationals Happening Now

We have an absolutely beautiful day today at the 20^th Annual ACDelco High School Nationals presented by Amalie Motor Oil. The pits are full of your friends and we are having a ball! Come on out to the greatest time you’re going to have this side of graduation. For those that didn’t expect it, there are a couple very high powered surprises in the pits that will be making some passes down the quarter-mile today. Get out here and enjoy!!

11:45 - The pits are absolutely jammed with people from high schools all over the area. There are a number of school teams represented and there are so many individual racers that we're not even going to try to count them! If you are not planning to be here today, you are really missing a great time. Racing starts at 4:00, and untill then we'll be running time trials. 

1:30 - One of those surprizes that we mentioned was a free entry to PINKS:All Out, and we've just finished the first round of special eliminations for that prize. We've seen the first exhibition passes by the nostalgia funny cars, the "Punisher" blown Altered, and the "Lake Erie Monster" Top ALcohol Dragster. We couldn't have planned a better day. Why are you still sitting there? Come on out!

4:00 - Time trials are now complete and racing will begin immediately following the opening ceremonies. The car show has been judged and winners determined. We'll post a complete list of results after the day's competition is complete.

6:30 - Upper Sandusky High School is the winner of the Car Cram, having the unlikely ability to stuff 27 people in one unfortunate car!

8:15 - The winner of the smokey burnout contest was Travis Rall from Upper Sandusky, and the runner-up was Jeff Hunter from Carey, and what was the deal with the car that made bright red tire smoke? How cool! The winner of the Ugliest Working Wreck contest is Ehove's Chase Smith. We're headed into round three of eliminations
