Bay Travel Vacation Race At The Cavalcade

The first of the 2008 specialty races, the Bay Travel Center Caribbean Cruise Vacation race, takes place this Saturday, May 17, during the 2nd Annual B’laster PB 50 Cavalcade of Stars presented by Budweiser. The 9 qualified racers from Wiseco/CycleTech Super Bike will go head to head for a fabulous all-expense paid 5-8 day Caribbean Cruise vacation for two. Bay Travel Center will pay the expenses, including airfare, hotel, taxes, and transfers for the winner and a guest. The nine qualified riders will have their bikes on exhibit in the Summit side pits between the 12pm and the 2pm time trials, and again until their introduction during the pre-race ceremony at 6pm. First round of eliminations for this highly sought after prize will take place at 6:30pm and will be completed during Saturday night’s show.
In the first round of eliminations, Kevin Adams, the present points leader will get a bye run. Tony Dolomore (#4) will face Donald Stokes (#8), Darren Ligouri (#2) will face Rick McWaters (#6), Craig Adams (#3) goes up against Rick Poole (#7), and Matt Short (#5) will go head to head with Tom Summers (#9). This is going to be an all-out thrash for one of the best prizes of the year. I addition to the Super Bike runoff, the night will filled with the sights and sounds of Top Sportsman and Top Dragster qualifying, Comp qualifying, Top Alcohol Dragster and Funny Car qualifying, an exhibition by the outrageous Pro Stock Snowmobiles, jet dragsters, and wheelstanders. The entire program will be topped of by one of Summit Motorsports Park’s fabulous fireworks shows!
Make plans to be here at Summit Motorsports Park early on Saturday to get the best seats, then prepare yourself for the best drag racing in the Midwest. The Bay Travel Center Caribbean Cruise Vacation race will be a showstopper by itself, but the action will be non-stop at the 2nd Annual B’laster PB 50 Cavalcade of Stars presented by Budweiser.
