October 7, 2008

This weekend, October 11-12, Summit Motorsports Park hosts a brand new event for 2008. The AMA Dragbike Fall Nationals brings the quickest and fastest motorcycles on planet Earth to Norwalk, Ohio for an unparalleled two-day festival of two-wheeled insanity! Members of AMA Dragbike currently hold both ends of the quarter mile world record with 245.36 mph, and 5.799 seconds. That kind of performance will have everyone in the stands on the edge of their seats. That represents enough diversity to keep the most jaded spectator enthusiastic, and gives any local rider from showroom stock to local hero a chance to run along with the traveling circuit riders of AMA Dragbike!

The Gates open Saturday morning at 7:30am and sportsman time trials begin at 9:00. Professional qualifying is set for 12:00 noon, so you will want to get in the stands before the AMA Dragbike Pros hit the track on Saturday! First round of eliminations is scheduled for 6:00 pm, and will continue until the day’s race is completed. Sunday, the gate open once again at 7:30 am, but eliminations start at 9:00am, so fans will want to grab an early start if you’re not to miss any of the final day’s action. AMA Dragbike also features sanctioned grudge racing, which will take place on Saturday night. If you’re a motorcycle rider, drag racer, motorcycle enthusiast, or just a thrill seeker, this is the show for you! AMA Dragbike drag racing; half the wheels, twice the excitement!
